Who runs this place? Why do you hide your WHOIS info? How do the bills get paid? I think it's a great idea, and I think lots of other people will too. But a key to Envirowiki's development is users' trust: so come on, tell us all!  :-) (150.203.2.85 03:21, 22 August 2006 (EDT))

I started it, my name is ned haughton, and I'm from newcastle. involved with risingtide, and enviro collectives. among other things. I hid the whois details because they were personal, and included real contact details that I currently don't want public on the 'net. envirowiki is hosted on my parent's webspace (mudlark.com.au). idea came about cause I'm a tech head (but not a hardcore net geek) - mediawiki is easy to set up, and I had free webspace, so I bought the domain ($50/3years from some big corporate that I don't really need to name), and voila! hope you're enjoying it.
